It all began when David Moreno was 33 years old and gave up his job as a technical engineer at the Seat Company in Barcelona. He returned to his hometown, Badarán (Rioja) in order to dedicate his life to his true passion, wine.
Bodegas David Moreno started with a knowledge of winemaking that is a heritage of his father and grandfather. Nowadays, David works together with his daughters in order to continue this history of work, effort and passion, with which this familiar dream was born.
Bodegas David Moreno produces wines with their own personality. Grown in the heart of the Rioja region, the “Alto Najerilla”, these remarkably seasoned vineyards grow at high altitudes, and produce highly respected wines.

Red Wines
David Moreno Tinto Joven
This Tinto Joven possesses a very beautiful violet colour, expressing its youth. Intense forest fruit notes, namely strawberry and raspberry are pleasantly apparent. The Garnacha grape is the main character of this blend, which explains the explosion of fruity flavours. It is simultaneously juicy, tasty and fresh.
David Moreno Crianza
This wine has an intense cherry red colour, very bright and lively, typical of the Rioja region.
It is a wine that gives a very pleasant scent with hints of forest fruits compote which makes it sweet and attractive. There is an explosion of fruit in your mouth at the entrance. However, it is very well balanced between the fruit and oak notes. You are left with a long, pleasant aftertaste after tasting this Crianza.
David Moreno Reserva
Our Rioja Reserva is a pleasant cherry colour. On the nose, it is very aromatic with intense notes of chocolate and ripe fruit, accompanied by more subtle notes of coffee and caramel, which gives this wine a nice degree of complexity. In the mouth it is juicy, with a well balanced structure, fruity and oaky at the same with a warm end. All these nuances make for a very elegant wine.
Rosé
David Moreno Rosado
This wine has been called “Clarete” traditionally, it is an almost exclusive wine from this área of Rioja alta. It´s unique onion skin colour gives it a great personality. Freshness, and lightness are found in this rosé, original to the region of Alto Najerilla.
Bodegas David Morena was awarded “The best spanish winery open for Wine Tourism” in 2016, given by the “Asociación Española de Ciudades del Vino” (Spanish Asociation of Wine Cities).
